About Tri-Cities What

Tri-Cities What is a local's calendar for Johnson City · Kingsport · Bristol · Jonesborough — the events worth your week, pulled from public local sources and curated by someone who actually lives here. We're the friend who already knows the lineup, not the visitors' bureau.

How it works: every day we read the public calendars the region already keeps — the CVBs, the towns, the venues — merge out the duplicates, and put what's left in one place, sorted by town. Every listing links back to its source, and the big annuals (Fun Fest, Rhythm & Roots, the Storytelling Festival, race weekends) are on the calendar even when the feeds run quiet.

We cover all four towns like the different places they are — Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol (both sides of State Street), and Jonesborough — plus the towns around them. We've got family in Johnson City, so when the calendar's wrong, we hear about it.

What we don't do: paid placement, private-group scraping, or hype. If an event's listed, it's because it was published publicly and looked worth your time.
